Starting in 1981 – Britain’s ‘Year of the Disabled’ – the Mersea Island Festival brings together children, young people and adults with or without a physical or learning disability. The Festival provides an opportunity to try out new activities, make new friends and have loads of fun!!! We’re taking part in the Essex Lottery! Essex County Council have set up a new lottery scheme with a weekly jackpot of £25,000. The Festival will receive 50p for every £1 ticket bought where the Festival is registered as the good cause. A further 10p goes to a central pot to support other good causes. […]
For each Festival we need a team of volunteer staff, aged 16+, to help us deliver the programme and make sure the campers have a great time.
